LaughYoga - The Official Home
LaughYoga is a laughter club, at home in Dallas and Austin, Texas. We facilitate laughter yoga (LY), a.k.a. laughing yoga or laugh yoga - a stunningly healthy exercise routine that helps train the body to more easily and genuinely laugh. We laugh independently from jokes or comedy. Instead, our classes entail laughing exercises combined with gentle breathing and moving meditation techniques. :)
Health Benefits of Laughter and Smiling
Bearing in mind the saying: "Laughter is the best medicine," the first reason we practice laughter is because it is delightfully healthy to do so. Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. The ability to laugh easily, freely, and frequently is wonderfully beneficial in developing relationships, overcoming adversity, and supporting physical, mental, and social well-being.
Another Point to Consider
Joy is a personal choice that anybody can make anytime, anywhere, regardless of the situation. Exercising the muscles involved in laughter allows us to more easily tap into the body's fullest potential to exhibit joy. Laughter fosters joy, and joy shines through us in our laughing, playing, singing, and dancing. At LaughYoga, our aim is genuine smiles that engage the eyes, authentic laughter that is felt in the belly, and real joy. :)
